Our GSRP classrooms had another community helper visit today! Dr. Katie Atkinson from Imlay City Veterinary Clinic visited to teach students about her important job as a veterinarian for our Community Helpers unit. She described her job in detail and was kind enough to give each of our students’ stuffed animals a well-visit!
We so appreciate her kindness and willingness to share her expertise! #proudcardinal

Today in GSRP we had a Nurse and Physical Therapist share the importance of exercising, stretching, washing our hands and how to properly put a band aid on. Together we learned how to control our breathing, check our pulse, and we even worked our bodies to get our heart pumping! We really enjoyed having these community helpers explain their jobs and how important they are to all of us! After, we created our own first aid kits and how they can help us when needed. #proudcardinal
Dryden Community Schools will be released early today due to the impending ice storm.
Dryden High School will be released at 1:30 p.m. Dryden Elementary School will be released at 2:30 p.m. All early childhood and latchkey students need to be picked up by 3:00 p.m. All afternoon and evening activities are canceled. Stay safe!

Today our community helper was Heather Bacon from Bacon's Balloon Décor. She visited our GSRP classrooms and shared how to create art with balloons. Heather made balloon animals for each friend and even the teachers. Heather was so kind to give each child a balloon to try and create their own balloon animal as well. #proudcardinal
