A NEW WAY TO SUPPORT DRYDEN ELEMENTARY!

Look out for the new bin recently delivered! We’re so excited to officially welcome our Clothes & Shoes Recycling Bin to Dryden Elementary!

Our PTA is actively working on this project, and we’re thrilled to create a way for our community to clean out their closets while giving back to our students and helping the environment.

♻️ Where do the clothes, shoes & textiles go?
Great question!

We work hard to be a GREEN SCHOOL, and this project is another way we can reduce waste and our carbon footprint.

👕 Clothing, shoes and textiles are collected and distributed locally whenever possible.

♻️ Items are recycled and upcycled to keep them out of landfills.

🛝 Materials that cannot be reused or upcycled can be transformed into products such as playground equipment!

That bag of clothes sitting in your closet can have a whole new purpose — and help our school at the same time!

Where do the funds go?
The funds generated through this project will help our PTA:

Bring additional clubs to Dryden
Fund and support current school clubs
Support Field Day
Fund PTA events and student activities
Help with school needs
Provide programs, enrichment and opportunities for our students
Every bag. Every pound. Every donation makes a difference!

The Dryden Cardinals varsity volleyball team battled Mayville High School Tuesday night but fell in three sets, 16-25, 15-25 and 19-25.
Dryden showed continued fight throughout the match, with the Cardinals putting together several offensive plays and serving runs to keep each set competitive.

Stori Zink led the Cardinals with three aces on the night, including two in the third set. Kayla Lapka contributed four tips, while Karley Phillips recorded three spikes. Luxy Abraham added two tips, while Celine Nguyen and Elaina Yatrons each recorded an ace. Abby Tonkoshkur contributed a spike as the Cardinals continued to find ways to attack Mayville.

The Cardinals continued to battle through the third set, finishing with their closest set of the night at 19-25. Dryden will look to carry the effort and positive plays from Tuesday's match into its upcoming games as the Cardinals continue to grow together throughout the season.

Sales walking jogging dancing monetary tax deductible donations ways to donate card using qr code cash check made to dryden elementary PTA $10 thanks for not asking me to sell cookies or candy $25 thanks for not requiring me to set up a personal fundraising page $50 what I would have spent on new clothes for an event $75 express my appreciation for not doing anything at all for this fundraiser. This is a voluntary fundraiser. You may choose to participate in lieu, in addition to, any of our other fundraisers we will do throughout the year. All donations are tax deductible. Place the Amazon book order and be sure to indicate your student’s name in the comment/notes section. Upon receiving the new book, Mrs. Knox will take a photo of your student with the book, create a special birthday cake name plate that will be placed inside the book, and your student will be the first to check-out the book! Brain Shift is a school-wide prevention initiative designed to help students build self-awareness, recognize what’s happening in their brains, and develop tools for navigating different emotions, challenges, and situations throughout their day.
During September’s Brain Shift Challenge, students are learning about four brain states — Clear, Buzzing, Heavy, and Guarded — and practicing how to recognize and name the state they are experiencing.
👏 Congratulations to Mrs. Hearold’s 1st grade class and Mrs. Birkett’s 5th grade class for completing the September challenge and earning their first Brain Shift badge!
Their drawings showed just how differently our brains can feel throughout the day — and recognizing those changes is an important first step in learning what our brains need.
