Tuesday Mrs. Howell’s sixth graders finished learning about Latin American culture by celebrating Dia de los Muertos(Day of the Dead). This is a Mexican holiday and tradition to remember those that have passed. We spent the day learning about the different components of this day and participated in making our own ofrendas(remembrance tables) and decorated calaveras(sugar skulls). #proudcardinal

First graders are reinforcing their math facts with a variety of math tools! Each group got a number to work with and practiced their facts. The end challenge was to use their number bonds to make a subtraction number sentence. They are quite the mathematicians! #proudcardinal

To celebrate Halloween, Mrs. Medley's class conducted a pumpkin investigation. The pumpkin scientist drew pictures of their pumpkins, measured how tall they were, predicted if they would sink or float, and ended it with personalizing with paint! #proudcardinal
