This year's contest theme was "What Does Patriotism Mean to Me?". All Lapeer County schools were invited to participate. On Wednesday, February 5, Ellie was honored at the Lapeer Lodge with a certificate, dinner, and a cash prize. Her winning essay will now move on to the district competition, followed by the state and national competitions. Congratulations, Ellie!
